This Chelsea tapas restaurant from chefs Alex Raij and Eder Montero is still going strong after nearly 10 years in business. Do not miss the uni panini or the fried garbanzo beans. Read more

Let's keep this one simple: You come to Alex Raij's tapas bar for the uni panini. It's sea urchin and butter smeared on a soft, crispy ficelle, the essence of ocean transformed in a sandwich spread. Read more

Eder Montero and Alex Raj recently expanded their Basque tapas parlor. All of the tapas are worth trying, but make sure to order the uni panini, fideua, and braised tongue. [Eater 38 Member]

New dishes include dirty rice with rabbit, flash-fried shell-on shrimp, and soft scrambled eggs with sea anemone. Favorites from the old menu are still available, and they plan to serve lunch soon.

Intimate, cozy place to catch up with friends or have a chill night with bae (as I did). It’s all routinely good, shishitos, deviled eggs, patatas bravas; BUT stay away from rabbit special (rubbery)

Amazing tapas menu..don't miss the squid paella, deviled eggs with tahini or the outstanding lamb skewers. And don't skip dessert! Overall this is a pricey pick, but definitely worth it.

EQP is a tucked away tiny spot, a little hard to find, but a gem! Some of the good tapas and sangria I've had in the big apple; great for dating or a catch up with buds

It's cozy, but the food is out of this world. Perfect date spot to lean in close, share small plates and learn more about each other. Or go with girl friends and eat and drink your hearts out!

I first came here in 2010 and it hasn't changed. It's a lively place with a very Spanish vibe. Absolutely must get the uni sandwich.

The tongue, soft scrambled eggs with anemone, and uni panini are all amazing- the anemone especially cooks up like a nice clam belly or sweetbread. Also, bet you can't say uni panini five times fast.

The dishes are quite good and authentic. They have a kind of miniature hamburger that is called El Doble, and a terrine of anchovies with melted Manchego and red peppers

Chef Alex Raij is one of our heros! Do not miss the Uni Panini or the Pringa Cubano! We also dream about the Gambas al Ajillo and the Garbanzos Fritos.

El Doble, $12 If gussied-up, ethnicized burgers are rarely good, this is the Basque-inspired exception. It comes with Idiazábal cheese, pickled onions, cornichons, and “salsa especial.”

A must try: fideúa, bocadillo de mar. Good choices: lomo sandwich and the croquetas. Albeit the croquetas are 95% creamy inside and 5% serrano ham.

Don't sit at the bar unless you want a view of the kitchen (hint: microwave!). Can someone please buy them a curtain? Been coming here for three years and still an issue. Great cocktails though.

Very good tapas! Creamy croquetas and bombas. Very nice patatas bravas. Their Pan amb xocolata was delicious!

This restaurant has a very "you're in Europe eating in someone's kitchen" vibe to it. The Picos y Taquitos, croquettes and Arroz Brut de Conejo are all incredibly flavorful.

One of the best small plates / tapas / pintxos spots in NYC. Can’t miss. Chickpeas to start are a must and then just keep it rollin

The croquetas are the closest thing I've had to legit outside of Spain. Also, don't let the anchovy scare you from the queso fundido - it's delicious.

Horchata frozen cocktail (!!) sounds like a winner, but I was a little underwhelmed. The garlic shrimp will more than make up for it tho.

Granted food is tasty but it is way over priced for the portion size. The uni panini is basically a breadstick. The shrimp fritters are two dinky pieces. The croquettes are like the size of a pinky.

Lomo bocadillo is great. Gazpacho is a creamy delight. Get also patatas bravas. Gambas were ok, pulpo was a bit rubbery, not like in Spain. Definitely wash ur meal down with excellent sangria!

Make no mistake... For years advertised as one of the best 'sandwiches' in the city, the uni panini is a mere breadstick. A sublime, would-kill-your-own-mother-to-get-one breadstick.

Get the fried lamb intestines-fried so finely that they've curled and buckled in the heat, becoming golden brown & crisp. They taste like lamb potato chips-dip them in the tart chile sauce on the side
