This two-and-a-half-mile strip of sandy beach is one of the most popular beaches in the area, and it was also where Seattle's first non-Native American settlers spent their first winter.
Views are spectacular; the Bainbridge Island ferry leaves from Colman Dock; and the popular Summer Nights at the Pier concerts play at sublime Pier 62/63.
Located on the north shore of Lake Union, the park has excellent water views and a spectacular, unobstructed view of the city skyline. It is a popular spot for concerts.
Music that plays in the fountain is 2 types: regular programming & big shows. Big shows run on the hour or half hour. I do the regular programming and made one big show: Rachid Taha to Tito Puente.

Highly recommend biking from Seattle. Mellow, flat 15+ miles from the city along the Burke-Gilman to the Sammamish River Trail. Drops you right there! Follow w beers on the deck.
