It's tough to name specifics here (lots to explore, and you should wander down main streets & side streets to get the vibe.) If I had to guide you, I'd say try Felipe's, L.A. Burdick, & Club Passim.Upvoted Jan 27

Try the Taleggio Polenta at Nubar Restaurant. They have outdoor dining and one of the coolest bars I've ever seen.

Save yourself the hassle and expense of parking in the Square -- Go park at Alewife for $7 and ride the T if you plan on shopping and/or dining.- A lot of people don't know this, but Harvard encourages unemployed people to audit its classes in order to improve their job prospects. Try it!

It's pretty upscale. Bathroom at Tasty Burger downstairs with no codes on the door.

There are 3 great burrito joints here: Anna's near Brattle Square, Felipe's on Mt Auburn St near JFK St, and Boloco on Mt Auburn St by Holyoke St
insanely crowded on weekends…so if you're just passing through…beware
