- Christina ChinSeptember 29, 2017One of the few last small concert halls...dingy w/ faint smell of stale beer, has upstairs for vips, but i like small venues for more intimate performancesUpvoted Feb 25
- Concert Ticket AgencySeptember 14, 2012Small to midsize venue. Legendary place to see a band. 3 levels. great balcony. Full bar in back with fast service. From The Ramones to U2 to Clapton & Dylan. all the heavy hitters have played here
- A nice, intimate club venue located right by Union Square. Plays host to some big names from time to time, and has managed to hold up after all its years in business. Sound, atmosphere, all great.
- JD MaloneOctober 6, 2014Buy tickets directly from box office to save on booking fees. Mixed drinks can get pricey so drink beforehand. Stage is visible from most parts of the arena but it does get warm near stage.
- Tamer BekirMarch 13, 2014It's small in there, so be prepared to either get the nut or the butt. They have a nice top seating that has tables and the view is great. Also a couple (2) lounges in the back for sitting.
- Great venue. Have been going here for ever and never had an issue getting close. Sound is also pretty great compared to other nyc venues.
- The Wild Honey PieOctober 23, 2017Before becoming a ballroom-style theatre in 1927, the building acted as a hotel consisting of four combined brownstones.
- Karolina CunneelyNovember 9, 2015I love the intimate setting of this venue. I've been to many concerts here. There's never a bad viewing spot...unless you get a super tall person in front of you (haha)
- Ken Pierre IIAugust 7, 2014Dope venue for concerts! The bars located everywhere are clutch and I def had the time of my life with my group of chums!
- A fantastic venue. Drop-down screen in front of stage shows upcoming shows and events. The sound is hit or miss, there are no bathrooms upstairs (stage-level), but they have two bars.
- The Corcoran GroupDecember 18, 2011One of our favorite venues for general admission concerts. But direct at their box office and avoid paying ticket broker fees!
- Two floor set up, except that for bigger shows they reserve upstairs for VIP (worth the extra money). Bars on every floor and there are great bars/restos for before and after the show close by!
- Kristine RoskoAugust 15, 2016Easily accessible from NY Penn Station by subway to Union Square. Cozier space w/ upstairs & downstairs. Cash bars on both levels. Bathrooms could use some work, though.
- Chris ThurberNovember 2, 2014Amazing venue. Smoke in the air, beer on the floor, and talent on the stage from opener to headline. Awesome night.
- Stephen ParkerAugust 21, 2014Very helpful staff that helped us bring packages of 700+ LPs up two flights of stairs and an elevator. Great sounding room and friendly bar staff.
- Ale TowerMarch 4, 2017Audio was a bit muffled when I watched Thundercat there. On the flipside, it's small enough that you'll be close to your heroes even if you stand halfway through the hall.
- Jordan WhittingtonMarch 25, 2022Great venue for a small but not too small show. I saw Waka Flacka Flame here in the past and it was amazing
- Roc NationJune 6, 2011Go to Irving plaza if you want to be packed in for your favorite act. The acoustics are good and you can see the stage from pretty much anywhere you stand. But be wary, it gets incredibly hot! Read more
- Like most venues in NYC, bar with a wide hall and space enough to fit 6 musicians. The bad thing about this place stage is upstairs restrooms are downstairs, forget going while the band's playing
- Jessica ANovember 7, 2014Concerts get crunched. VIP tickets are worth the extra $$ because they come with a free drink and view is muuuuuch better. More room to bust move. 💃
- lindsay freyJanuary 16, 2016coat check people were very snarky :( ...$4 **PER ITEM**. item = coat, sweater, scarf, ANYTHING. obviously. of course i would assume it's $4 extra to check your scarf with your coat.
- Andrew CAugust 22, 2017Basic concert/event space with two floors of dance or table space... crowd vibe and staff attitudes depends on what event is happening!
- Live NationFebruary 17, 2010If you want to party before or after the show, head to 119, one of the best NYC Dive bars. Great tunes, good beer on tap, a pool table. A bar with a very NYC Dive disposition, but TONS of personality Read more
- DevontaDecember 10, 2014Saw Common tonight. Great intimate venue. The crowd was great. Common did his thing. #HipHop
- JD MaloneSeptember 9, 2017Concerts here are amazing and with some of the best thought out seating around.
- Tom DiMaggioMarch 2, 2018Nice intimate size venue, drink specials are cheaper than most concert venues but still pricey.
- Charetta RockJanuary 26, 2015Proud to have played here! Gorgeous venue, spacious historical and great sound/lighting!
- Lauren SKNovember 6, 2014Super small so you are always close to the artist but it can get packed and very crowded quickly.
- Kat MontgomeryDecember 11, 2013Arrive early to get a good spot. If you're hungry they've got a few options for food that's reasonably priced.
- LeAnna ChristiansenMay 13, 2015Drinks are $$ but the Angry Orchard is worth it. Opt for VIP/balcony space to avoid crowds!
- Rohan ModiApril 15, 2017Great staff, awesome events! Can't go wrong with seeing a show here! VIP for balcony access.
- StageBuddyApril 8, 2013There are cell phone charging stations and seats downstairs so, if your 'rents are tagging along to a concert, you might want to let them set up shop down there. Read more
- John P.October 8, 2014Nice small venue but drink before you get here if you're looking to get a buzz. $10 well drinks is the epitome of overpriced Manhattan cocktails.
- Joe CDecember 5, 2014Royally messed up the Foo Fighters show. Said not to line up until 3, tickets on sale at 5. Gave out wristbands to people there early and were sold out by 2:30. You will never see me here. Place sux.
- Ward SullivanDecember 21, 2011Not as awesome as the Bowery Ballroom, but another one of NYC's intimate concert venues. The acoustics are top notch.
- Elizabeth LovejoyJune 12, 2012Staff here is super friendly, which is extra awesome if they can get you a nice spot on the rail to watch the show.
- The side risers and upper level were VIP last time I was here. You had to pay to upgrade to stand with an obstructed view. What the heck??
- Live NationFebruary 17, 2010Head to Galaxy Global Eatery on Irving place between 15th and 16th to grab a bite before (or after) the show. The food is diverse and delicious, the cocktails are great and it's affordable! Read more
- StonehengeNYCDecember 15, 2011Some of the best shows in NYC, in a great venue. Check out our nearby luxury building at 8 Gramercy Park. Read more
- VH1July 21, 2010Head to Galaxy Global Eatery on Irving place between 15th and 16th to grab a bite before (or after) the show. The food is diverse and delicious and it's affordable! – Team Live Nation
- Emilie FuttermanFebruary 21, 2015Coat check line goes out the door at the end of the night, get your coat early.
- As you climb up the stairs to the show, look on the wall for some great historic concert posters.
- Elise AbdallaJuly 1, 2010I've filmed 3 concerts here: Jonas Brothers, Honor Society, and Timbaland - very intimate and small venue to get an up close look at your favorite music artists!
