United Airline's mobile boarding pass doesn't work well here. Be sure to get a printed pass at the check-in counter before going to the security gates.
SSJanuary 18, 2012This place is all about escalators. Check in upstairs, security downstairs, tram more downstairs, flights upstairs!
If your goal is to find a plane leaving Seattle, this is the place to go...they have TONS of them!

7 AM, Thursday mornings give extra time to go thru security. Lines are extremely long
You have to take stairs part of the way up to the C gates from the tram.

You don't have to take your shoes or jacket off if you have status. Almost like the old days.
Nice airport, but TSA Pre Check must be expanded, only one security line.

Glenna LinSeptember 14, 2012Get to the airport at least an hour early for check-in and security (domestic flight). Takes a while.- Allow plenty of time if your flight is around 10 pm. Half the checkpoints are closed and the others are busy
You need to take initiative when waiting in line for TSA. It's a zoo and no one pays attention to who is next. Just go!
During peak hours if you are dropping off someone avoid the line and drop them off at arrivals. The opposite holds true for picking them up.
Fill your water bottle at the water bottle filling station in the main food court.

Britton WareApril 9, 2012Look for the big African American gentleman at the TSA security checkpoint. He handles your junk the "friendliest"- If you are picking up and need to circle more than once, you're better off going to the cell phone lot. It is close and has free Wi-Fi
The Delta lounges open at 4:45 am, but the Amex Centurion didn't open until 5.
At peak times, use N hate security. And there are extra lines around the corner after ID check!
It’s all good. Expect. TSA lanes are only at gate 4...boo!
Waiting for the sun? No worries, Southwest, Alaska, and Frontier airlines all fly to Denver where's there's plenty of sun year round!
We get it, the drinking fountain makes silly noises. Now move along..

Allison WilliamsJune 22, 2014Starbucks at C9. Free wifi and outlets everywhere connected to the seats at all the gates.- The screening lines have gotten slower and longer even with tsa precheck. Takes 45 minutes at least to pass through

I enjoy gorging myself with local food and drink before jumping on a plane.
Take the light rail but be prepared for all the thugs at Westake Center. Ahh the sounds of the city and pan handlers going, yo yo yo, I need I need I need.
Grab some Beecher's mac and cheese before your flight in Terminal B
- Clif CameronNovember 17, 2019They were not ready for our flight arrival. “Ran out gates” had to wait for old style ramps to come out to plane then busses out the terminal then walk down other multiple ramps in rain.
Take the light rail directly into downtown Seattle for only $2.75!
- Friday evening they are always backed up big time. Allow extra time for drop offs
