If you are in mood for great summer and refreshing drink with Ginger candies and Bourbon - The Penicillin is a must try! Pro Tip: It's not always on the menu, but you can still order it!

The fried pickles were amazing, but I had to tell literally everyone I know about the Frozen Peach Cobbler cocktail. Please keep that around because I need to order it about 18405837 more times.
You can’t dislike a neighborhood bar this good. Same owners as a handful of other popular bars, but genuinely great on its own merit.
A very nice bar but can get crowded. Great for singles, mingling, and meeting new people. They serve good drinks and the fried pickles are pretty cool.

Very Williamsburg. Happy Hour $4 drafts. Sweet Afton Breakfast Burger (Pat Lafreida beef, fried egg, & bib lettuce) during brunch (until 6:30pm) is delicious. Mac & Cheese and Fried Pickles are tasty.- You have to try the deep fried pickles, the ribs, the Afton burger with Gruyere and also, a side of fries with dashings of malt vinegar! Service here is always awesome, best bar in Astoria...
Get anything with pickles in it (def the martini). This is a great space with a great menu and service. Very well done.

Chris BattiasOctober 26, 2013Best thing on the menu is the Bua Fried Chicken Sandwich. Get a side of spicy mayo with it. The ribs and burger are ok. The fried pickles are so-so at best IMHO. Breading to pickle ratio is off.
I love weekend brunch and afternoon drinks. Mike makes the best cocktails in the Burroughs, and the breakfast burger of chicken and biscuit can't be beat.

Enough with the fried pickle tips. We get it. When you're here, get yourself a Rootbeer Cocktail. If you're hungry, share the Mac and Cheese. If you're feeling frisky, talk to the girl at the bar.

Love the environment here, though it can get crowded in the evening and on the weekends. Check out the back porch if the weather's good.

A great authentic bat spot with a solid menu and creative beverage list. Atmosphere is excellent with a solid local crowd.

Irish pub that has a wonderful menu of drinks and food. No TVs so you can actually have a conversation. Cute and cozy.

Its been stated enough times but the fried pickles are awesome. I tried the pickle martini and really didn't enjoy - couldn't even finish it, not my taste. Awesome atmosphere though!
