Best tunnel I've been to... Hands down.
Followed some kids up stream to the drainage tunnel before they blocked it off. Probably the dumbest thing I've ever done. But fun as hell.
I recommend bringing a book (and sunscreen) and reading on the side of the hill. The kids/families are on the shallow end (near the entrance); the adults are by the deep end. Do it!
Three acres in size, the pool is fed from under ground springs and is on average 68 degrees year round. Over the years it has drawn people from all walks of life.
Absolutely love this park. It's huge & has off leash areas for your dog. Great place to bring a picnic as well! Lots of restaurants near by and even trails to go for a run/bike ride on!

It's worth noting that Pennybacker Bridge is only anchored on land - it doesn't bear any weight underwater. The bridge was named after Texas Department of Transportation engineer Percy V. Pennybacker
Right before you hit the bridge, there's an area for off-road parking. Park, climb up the semi-hidden trail, and enjoy the magnificent view of the lake in the day, the sunset, or stars at night.
A great playground for toddlers and kids from 1 - 12 with lots of seating and shade nearby. Also a good size lawn for playing.
They distribute produce grown by local farmers. Check out their events with local musicians while you're there.
