Meg Minuskin: small but fun! go here hungry as most of the booths are food-related

Ranu Rajkarnikar: Amazing, underground cocktail spot. They have a big varied menu and the staff are friendly. Cushy booths and tables make it great for a date, but sitting at the bar is lovely as well. Add to rotation!
DoubleDeuce: Excellent cocktails, a couple of very large booths and smaller place settings for two. Saw a large crew of ladies start a night here, was a pretty solid idea, plenty of space & great drinks.
Time Out New York: The inventive, freewheeling menu runs the gamut from crisp session cocktails to hefty late-night slugs to help you unwind in one of the low-slung oxblood booths inside a sultry, cavernous lair. Read more.

Caroline Schulweis: Pot stickers, mushroom pizza, and chicken were delicious. Love the comfy booths. Good for groups.
AmateurConcierge: A 7 anything rating is ridiculous. I get it: it’s sceney and the food won’t knock ur socks off but plenty of crowd pleasing dishes and a fun vibe. Truffle pizza, tomato salad were solid. Cocktails !
Paula Buzzo: Try their Seared Scallops with Roasted Fennel and Glazed Rhubarb. The attendance is good.

Tarik Hart: Place is slammed on weekends, so either grab a booth or be prepared to dodge the crowds all evening.
Erin Murphy: My boyfriend and I bought the gilt city brunch deal. The mimosas were really good and made from real OJ, unlike a lot of other brunch spots. Both of our meals were great.

Dens: Front booths, right near the big windows, are by far the best people watching spots in the LES. (for a backup, hit the mini magic room at Local 138 around the corner on Ludlow)
Jeff Sereni: Check out the rooftop! Amazing view.
Dens: This place was ground zero for the blogger/Gawker scene in 2003-2004 and has always been a big hangout for the early dodgeball.com crowd. My brain is hardwired to use "The Magician" as a test search.

Tamara H: Snag a spot on the benches lining the walls, or bop back by the sound booth. Check in, check your email, and pretend your friend is just a block away.
Caroline Chung: Great small venue for music lovers discovering up and coming talent!
Concert Ticket Agency: Great intimate venue. Bands love playing here, you'll love seeing them here. Just grab your drinks on the way in and stake out your place on the floor. It's going to get crowded.
