Best Happy Hour ever. I practically live here. Spicy Albacore, Crunchy Roll, great Sashimi, cheap beer and sake. Can't get enough. I'm probably here right now.
Place has Happy Hour for food and drinks till 9:30, even on weekends. Sushi is amazing, especially the Spider Roll & Spicy Tuna.

Great value for money sushi. If you don't want to wait, go early, sit at the bar, and order from the chef. My fav is Hamachi Belly and Halibut Fin: both are off menu items.

Best yellowtail in the United States. Totally ruined my ability to eat it anywhere else.
The wild salmon nigiri special is so yummy. Try the Kimpira Renkon as an app, tororo udon hot. Yummy!
Sushi lunch set is very good value. Sashimi is real fresh like when I had at shukiji. Udon is so soft and soup is delicious.
If toro sushi is on special, don't miss out on that: it melts in your mouth. And definitely try the seared albacore tuna with the best glaze and tiny condiments ever. So good!

The Lamb with salt (not garlic) and black cod are a must. Be sure to order an overflowing glass or two or three of kurosawa sake with your meal. I was a nanbankan addict for months!

Get the rare duck, miso broiled black cod, fried chicken cartilage but don't kiss anyone after dinner.
get the chicken wings spicy. grilled steak is yum. avoid the cod.
Get the wangs and the fried halibut.
Don't forget to add the egg when you order the Ramen or Tsukemen (lunch only). Salmon don is what you need to add to your combo!
I don't normally like spicy tuna, but they have the best spicy tuna anywhere in LA.
