According to the Airfrance Airlines, to fly to Europe you need to have a return ticket to the USA, or they can refuse your boarding, but one way ticket they still sell and at the check in they lie...
The only two good things about LAX were the Delta agent reprinted my misprinted departure timed boarding pass!! And the charging stations!!!! Still wont do layovers here again
You know it's going to be away when they have someone announcing baggage claim the entire time and she says they won't even start dropping bags from any flight before 30 minutes.
Keep your expectations low: LAX is the air traveler's equivalent of a third-world country. The only thing it needs to complete the gestalt is a few goats roaming the terminal.
Immigration queue is 2 hour wait at a 7pm weekday arrival. Then you need to claim baggage, re check then go to the next gate. So 3 hour layover minimum.
Gate 65A is where you catch the bus to transfer over to the American Airlines departure lounges if you arrive ex Alaska Airlines. Just like all airports, it's not clearly marked.

If you’re unable to select the middle seat when booking your flight, do not book that flight. The flight is most likely oversold which could make for an unwanted adventure when take-off time comes.
LAX will be under construction until the day the world ends. Food options are limited and TSA lines are always longer than your actual flight time. Basically, my home base airport sucks.
Southwest ladies need to learn to count again. 3 times there were 28 ppl on the plane, then they found the 29th after the pilot counted....great mini pretzels though.
This airport needs a UI overhaul. Its chaoticness perfectly mirrors LA. Tips: United Premier checkin much better than regular; ParkAir Express on Century good place to park w/ frequent shuttles.
