Located in the historic Belvedere and once an infamous speakeasy during Prohibition, today the Owl Bar serves up delicious food and drink menus 7 days a week.
Feels like you're stepping back in time. Nice atmosphere.
Such great atmosphere!
the umami burger was possibly the best burger i have ever eaten in my life.
Great atmosphere, one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Baltimore
Pizza was good! Don't get the caesar salad
Duck fat fries, craft cocktails, draft beer
Great pizza! Had one night in Baltimore and I'm glad I came here. Good beers on tap as well.
Great, historic place. It was a surprise find, but an awesome one. Good beer selection, but atmosphere rocks.
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! Come during happy hour!
Sunday brunch. $12 bottomless bloody marys and mimosas!
Be sure to have a sidecar and an Ahi Tuna BLT! You won't be disappointed.
Twenty beers on tap and delicious food. Be aware: Owl Bar will not split a check between more than three credit cards.
Gross food. Love the atmosphere, but gross, gross food. Cool bar to have a couple of drinks. That's about it.
Try the Bloody Mary Bar - Really cool concept and spicy options are good
Baltimore's Best Bars 2013: " The bar located on the Belvedere Hotel’s first floor retains a sense of history that’s easy to feel but difficult to accurately describe." http://bsun.md/1jEnkNx
Friendly staff, nice to tourist
Don't look for it by the address ...it's located inside the Belvedere hotel , try the Sweet baby Jesus on tap...it's amazing !
Avoid on Friday night: service drags. Bartenders seem more interested in clustering by the service window & chatting with other staff or watching the Os game. Didn't even ask if I wanted a 2nd drink.
Hang at the bar, one of the longest in town.
I love the sophisticated, quirky atmosphere and greasy spoon menu. The Belvedere's top floor restaurant, not so much; it attracts the club crowd.
Always rude staff. Really.
Its a great bar, but service is a little slow!!!
Happy Valentine's day
Get a yard beer, 4 beers for the price of 3. Food is sub par however.
Baltimore's Best Bars 2012: "We love the pizza and affordable happy hour prices, but this is a place to savor the rich history and atmosphere." http://bsun.md/UD2xA1
The portobello fries are incredible. Order extra sauce.
Ask for Jess and Rachael - they are the best and the cutest!
Walk through the lobby of the Belvedere, try to shake the feeling that you are in the Shining, the bar is at the back
Try the yard of beer. Make sure not to break the glass it comes in though, unless you want an additional $125 added to your check.
Could be a good place except for that tall meat head type bartender--- see below tip
Loved everything about it! A must see, but don't try the wings
They need to get whole wheat dough for the pizza.
One pizza is enough for two to share, and the blue collar chili is rather large and filling.
Awesome history, great vibe, good food & drink (when they're all stocked up).
Get the Greek pizza. You won't be disappointed.
Count the owls! See if you can find them all.
Great draft selection! Local and original brews.
I know you're thinking, "This place looks good". It's not. Just turn around and leave.
Great historic bar with a terrific "Prohibition" back story.
Worst service ever. After an hour, we had to go find a waiter to order food.
Classic stop for out-of-town guests. Have them guess the third line of the owl riddle that's on the front wall.
Asked if they have Strongbow - bartender asked what that was.
They still are incapable of supplying everything they list on the menu - Long Live "The OUT Bar!"
Bartender kicked me out!
Whine to the bartenders about paying $14 for 12 oz of top shelf bourbon! If you can't afford it you shouldn't shouldn't ask for it! Don't be cheap Foursquare nation!
Get a Maker's Mark Manhattan ... it will be half vermouth and cost you $14!
This place settles the big question once and for all: the spirit of Vienna is alive in Baltimore proper.
