Eater: While this corner strip mall restaurant still offers flashy, over-the-top rolls for celebrity types, the real gem is the omakase, chock full of interesting fish and based on warm, well-seasoned rice. Read more.
Eater: With a new sushi chef Yoya Takahashi at the helm of the omakase counter, the level of sushi gets a major upgrade from the more roll-centric offerings on the menu (that are popular with celebrities).
DailyCandy: On the updated menu, its rolls now share the spotlight with dishes like salmon crudo and washugyu tataki (with thyme and wasabi). Miss the full roll-odex? Ask a server for the original 60-deep menu.

Noodle Restaurant · Westwood Village · 15 tips and reviews
Sam Licker: I enjoy their chicken ramen selections. Spicy tan tan ramen and spicy black ramen are delicious! Sushi is good as well, especially for the price. Highly recommend giving Onkei a try if in Westwood!
Salvador: No student discount.
Salvador: The Tonkotsu Red ramen was appropriately spicy and somewhat flavorful. The broth was a little thin for my liking and I really don't think that corn should be in ramen, but to each their own.
