Not too much ice and the lapsang souchong milk tea tastes like nothing from the mass market brands. Gentle hints of sweetness in the tea. I’ll pick this anytime.

The smaller pier has the boat which goes back and forth Wat Arun and Tra Tien for just 4 baht. Careful when climbing the stairs.
Small and cosy place. Chill here in the evening after roaming around the Grand Palace area for a superb view of Wat Arun at sunset. You’ll get the view at indoors seating too.
The pepper is very spicy so order a small portion if you aren’t sure. It’s crazy eating this on a sweltering Bangkok evening. Pig innards and stomach well-prepared without the gamey smell.
This hidden place is fantastic. Great coffee and bar seats by the window watching the BTS and traffic go by. Meat sauce pasta was slightly overcooked though very tasty.

Egg coffee sounds strange but it is definitely not raw egg + coffee (most people’s first impression). Creamy, smooth, tastes nothing like eggs, perfect pairing with the dark strong viet coffee.
Maddest traffic here in the whole world. Don’t assume you have right of way with the green man, and watch both sides of the road for scooters even if it is a one-way street. Cross surely and slowly.

Only 6 things on the menu and they all revolve around fish. Grilled fish and fish guts fried with fresh herbs at your table. Eat it with the noodles, peanuts and sauce! Tasted delicious!
