- The M60 bus picks up and drops off here. Cheapest way to get into or out of the city ($2.75 - one swipe on the metro card!) Allocate at least an hour to get to or from the airport.
- in at least the D gates in terminal B, there aren't a lot of dining options past the tsa screening area, so if you're hungry, i would suggest eating prior to going through security

- The new terminal is amazing. Clean, beautiful, bags come quickly, easy to get a ride share.
- LaGuardia is the smallest of the 3 major airports in NYC but the closest to Manhattan. The Delta terminal has lots of iPads on their waiting lounge. Pretty cool.
- Older airport but super easy to get in and out of. People complain about it but there are so many coming and going and they do a good job!
- Due to recent construction, add in an extra 35 mins to your "internal commute" as the signs are not clear on how to reach to your desired terminal. This tip is valid until their completion in 2020.
- Abdullah SuhaimMarch 6, 2023Make sure you can make it in time for the far gates, as all fascinating shopping and Lounges will use up you time, Run Forest Run
- Drew MorganApril 14, 2013It's a nice place to eat breakfast on the weekend. I live five minutes away, so it's a favorite Friday and Saturday breakfast watering hole.
- Grab a seat at your terminal and use the free iPads to surf, plus order food, water, whatever and they will bring it right to you with no surcharge! No free wi-fi for your stuff though.
- Gregg PullanoJune 15, 2015The Delta terminals are a little cramped, but there's lots of good amenities to be had. Enjoy the traffic jam of planes on departure from this baby airfield.
- Don't always enter the priority line. Sometimes the security line is longer for priority, go in the general line - it may be faster. You can see the line so it's not that you are betting blind.
- Felipe GarciaMarch 19, 2019If there’s any construction work happening, you better get in early. Signs may be misleading and you probably will need to walk more than usual to get to places.
- Highly suggest stopping for a shoe shine if you have time... Shine chairs operated by the same family for 60yrs. Great personalized service!
- Terminal B, where American Airlines is docked is a very small section. The choices of food is very limited to food kiosks with the exception of Samuel Adams, a very small eatery
- It’s bad right now. I only ever really go out of Terminal B & the drive up to dropoff is horrid, the food options are limited and seemingly everyone is TSA precheck because theres only 1 security line
- Be sure to get a shoe shine from John outside the Admirals Club. Not only a great shine but a great guy and he'll do a free brush next time you swing by.
- Love the fact that you have an electric outlet pretty much everywhere... And iPads are all over the place as well!
- Joe KolackiSeptember 16, 2013Flying in or out make sure you pick a window seat on the left side to enjoy the best view of the city
- SilvanoJuly 9, 2011If your flight came from south I hope it was during the day and your seat was on the left hand side. The view from the statue and Manhattan are just amazing!
- Probably the best of New York/New Jerseys three big airports, but still terrible. Bring your own fan, AC never works. Bring you own food. Non-existent dining options in C terminal
- Aside from the new Delta terminal, this is the most depressing, dingiest looking airport in the country. It'll take years for a makeover.

- Dee BurnsMarch 29, 2022New renovations are great. Good food options, clean and pretty restrooms, good access to phone plug ins.
- For those like me who don't like traditional breakfast items, the Chinese restaurant in the food court area serves rice, veggies & spicy chicken @ 7 am. Lovely!
- StephanieSeptember 24, 2013Vegan food options are available at the Cabi vendors. They have vegan "turkey" sandwiches with Veganaise among other things.
- Sam AnthonyDecember 15, 2017Terrible. One of the worst airports I've been to (and I've been to a lot). Always insanely crowded. Absolutely 0 vegan options (which is sad considering it's nyc). Flights always delayed.
- Jeff KisselMarch 25, 2013Be sure to take a peak out the window if while landing or taking off: there's usually a great view of Manhattan!
- Eric KwiatkowskiSeptember 9, 2011When you're leaving beat the line by either hitting up the cab stand to the far right or walking around the building to the left to the lot where the cabs originate from.
- Get free Wi-Fi by connecting to Boingo, selecting complimentary sponsored Wi-Fi, download the Amazon app (make sure to delete it first if you already have it installed), and then reopen the browser!
- Jeanne Schmidt HerronJune 7, 2013Travel with a fun person, there are a lot of weirdos out there. Keep it real, laugh a lot. Flying Southwest is pretty sweet as well, saves on $.
- Zaira TrujilloFebruary 20, 2015Nice long airport I was only on the southwest side of it but it didn't seem that hectic as others I've been in !
- If you get delayed go see Mtene at XpresSpa in Delta Terminal C. Get the neck & back message to get rid of all your travel stresses. $55 for 30 mins - worth it!

- Look under your seat! Power outlets everywhere. In Concourse D in Terminal B.
- probably the nicest airport in nyc now! Longer walk to the gates though.
- TSA Pre Check is the best, just make sure it's printed on your ticket.
- Anna-Liisa BenstonOctober 25, 2011Au Bon Pain is the only place with multiple outlets. So if your stuck here waiting for your luggage because Spirit Air is shit... You can go there and get good food and get some work done
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 3, 2012TSA TIP #5 Once through the x-ray machines take your belongings (trays) off the belts & get re-packed & dressed in the areas designated for this rather than holding up the lines at the x-ray machines.
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 3, 2012TSA TIP #1: Before getting to the screening check points clean out your clothing pockets as well as any metals/jewelry etcetera and put them into your carryon bags (or jacket pockets) ahead of time.
- City Food ToursMarch 20, 2012Whether u r a local or visitor there's plenty 2 do in the Big Apple! Consider City Food Tours 4 a fun & filling way 2 explore. If ur stuck at LAG, make ur own mini-tour @Papaya King & Joey's NY Pizza
- Jen LFebruary 27, 2012Dial 7 car service is great. It maybe a tiny bit more expensive than a cab (or maybe less during rush hour) but you will have a peace of mind knowing they will be there at your convenience
- Bianca B.June 15, 2013This airport is a hidden gem! The people are friendly, and there is a biergarten and artichoke pizza in terminal C.
- They have a better selection of cheaper flight offerings than at JFK, but that is about the only positive thing I can say.
- If it's not dark, overcrowded and a little unclean where you are standing, quick, get outta there! You're at JFK!
- Christopher LeeJune 8, 2023Remodeled terminal is great, clean and modern, welcome to the 21st century NYC
