- Level of service is lacking, however the pastas are amazing. Top recos: tagliatelle, cappelletti, and tortellini w/ duck mousse. The polenta dishes rock when in season and the charcuterie is a must.
- sit at the bar. start with a negroni. maybe two. listen to the specials. definitely get spiedini. definitely get the gramigna. definitely get the cappelletti. definitely finish with gelato/afogato.
- Cheapeats IncApril 29, 2017This is a great casual spot that won't break the bank. Grab a seat at the brunch bar for charcuterie that is hand sliced, cheese, salad, vino & a great view of the new kid on the block - Chef Stefan
- The Maple Mela may be my favorite cocktail in Soho right now. Order at the bar, watch them make it in a huuugggee wine glass thing. And order the Cappelletti pasta because you love delicious things.
- I think this is becoming my favorite Italian restaurant in the city! I love their pasta, and the porchetta roasted meat with roasted potatoes is to die for. Also don’t forget to get ice cream scoops!
- Wim MathuesMay 27, 2019We squeezed in without reservation, and has a great time at the bar (witnessing the tapas guy do his magic). Amazing tortellini, though butter sauce a bit bland. Big pieces of parmesan as starter, wow
- Village VoiceApril 3, 2015The food is impeccable and the atmosphere is just right. With friendly staff and an informal air, the large wooden bar is the ideal place to grab a negroni, some antipasti, and saddle up for the night Read more
- Brittney PotterNovember 27, 2019We started off with the cheese and meat plate. For entree I had the pasta, tagliatelle, which is tossed in a bolognese sauce. All was good! Especially the bread that was paired with cheese plate.
- Rachel PortDecember 25, 2017We started with the burrata (comes with butternut squash - so good) and the polipo, and shared the tagliatelle bolognese and the cappelletti with truffled ricotta. Would return to try everything else.
- Benjamin PalmerSeptember 30, 2014The pastas and everything classically Italian is teh shit. Mixed seafood grill is amazing, trout crostini is a sleeper hit. Say hi to the manager Nadine 💜. Pretty much can't go wrong here
- You MUST order the Cappelletti! Little clouds of heaven, also known as pasta. Absolutely delicious
- The Corcoran GroupJuly 31, 2013Michael White does it again! This spot isn't nearly as expensive as his other upscale restaurants, but the pasta is exceptional. Must order dishes: the lamb crostini, cappelletti, & any of the gelati.
- Kimmie OhhJuly 12, 2020Their erbazzone (spinach stuffed pastry with parmigiano mushroom sauce) was excellent! For pasta, get their tagliatelle (bolognese ragù & parmigiano). If you like truffles/tartufi, order cappelletti.
- Elizabeth BursteinDecember 3, 2022Came here for bday celeb. Awesome truffle cream pasta. Crispy artichokes. Glass of borolo. Strawberry lemon parfait. Citrus toffee pudding.
- Village VoiceJune 3, 2013It's hard to go wrong with a toothsome pasta filled with truffled mascarpone, in a silky rich butter sauce, but they do it best here. The cappelletti with a sprinkle of prosciutto is the way to go.
- My best pro tip for dinner-for-two: skip the entres and order 3 pastas. Any three, no wait, make sure one of them is the Garganelli.
- Jen StarAugust 17, 2017The garganelli coated slightly w. truffle cream and prosciutto. Also try the tortilla stuffed with braised meats, and the gramigna w. crumbled pork sausage & creamy, black pepper-spiked tomato sauce.
- Matt BonaccorsoOctober 27, 2019Mafalde pasta is to die for. The flavor is insane. Pasta also was cooked perfectly. Great service here as well. Was thoroughly impressed.

- Vanessa TurnerDecember 23, 2016Gargellini is what brought this place to my attention. WOW! Was fantastic alongside the double raviolis. The meatballs are made from Proscuitto and mortadella!!!! Also, drink all the orange wine.
- jennifer hanOctober 16, 2016ask for the pasta flight: you can pick any 3 pastas which is perfect because i am usually torn between the options. the garganelli with pancetta and peas is my favorite if i had to chose.
- Amanda LFebruary 20, 2021The Cappelletti is incredible, absolutely my favorite dish. Try the tortellini brodo on a cold day. When they bring the spring menu back, you must try the spring onion pesto gnocchi!
- one of my favorite italian restaurants in nyc. can't go wrong but the pastas (gramigna) are 👍 and oh!! go for the meat and cheese plate!!
- Morgan McKeeApril 23, 2019A bit loud and crowded, and service was lacking. Food was good from bruschetta to halibut. Great to share dishes if not as hungry. Order wine and keep on the table or else you’ll never get a drink 😜
- Village VoiceAugust 15, 2014Pastas like the cappelletti stuffed with truffled mascarpone, the tagliatelle with ragu antica, and the stracci with braised wild mushrooms and rosemary oil, are the real showstoppers. Read more
- Amanda LFebruary 20, 2021The Cappelletti is absolutely my favorite dish. Tortellini in brodo is awesome on a cold day. Try the spring onion pesto gnocchi when they bring back the spring menu!
- Halstead PropertyOctober 7, 2013Come to this restaurant and try any of the traditional pastas from Romagna. We especially like the Tagliatelle and its creamy, perfectly meat balanced ragu smothered over the sturdy, rich noodles.
- Adam LoganJanuary 8, 2013Great atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable staff, excellent food and decent prices. Crostini is a great way to start. Any ravioli or handmade, filled pasta are amazing. Rucola salad is nice too.
- Lee HoffmanSeptember 22, 2018Maybe the best meatballs in the city, the gramignia and truffle pillows are insane
- Michael AnthonyMarch 26, 2019Probably the best pasta I’ve ever had. The cappelletti is insane. Highly recommend their $10 Monday night pasta special!
- Will BancroftNovember 5, 2015Favorite Italian in New York. Handmade pasta is a must. Try the ricotta-stuffed pasta. Great brunch option too--steak and eggs are a personal favorite.
- All time favorite is the seafood salad and a close second is the stracci pasta with mushroom sauce. It's hard not to repeat them every time.
- Wilson ZhouApril 12, 2016Handmade pastas—frail ricotta gnocchi in light tomato cream, fat tortelli bundles oozing an absurdly rich mix of braised meats—are fantastic across the board. -TimeOut
- AmateurConciergeJanuary 9, 2016Great option if you need a soho brunch on short notice. The meat sides are a little too real for me, but eggs purgatorio is always good. Oh and the Parmesan gelato!
- Ruth TupeDecember 8, 2016Incredible dinner here. I wasn't the one ordering hut everything we had we wonderful. The pasta is excellent! The beef ravioli was the highlight.
- Megan O'NeillOctober 23, 2016Agnolotti w/veal and the carbonara pasta were the stand outs here. All of the pastas looked great. Excellent service, very pretty bar, cool vibe.

- Polpettine (meatballs). Rucola (salad). Gramingna (pasta). Grigliata mista (mixed grill meat plate). All these things are my favorites. Also gelato for dessert.
- James CroninApril 25, 2015One of my favourite restaurants, the staff are great and the pasta is incredible. Try the Garganelli!
- Dan ValenJune 7, 2012Lots of bar-seating hate that I think is a bit unwarranted. The bar was cozier and less stuffy-family-style-dining than the main room. Cool, calm, attentive bartenders taboot! Two bar seats, please.
- Caroline SchulweisMarch 16, 2015Tortelli and tagliatelle are delicious. The Mare was a nice light starter if you like shellfish.
- Guillaume R.January 22, 2018The level of execution for something seemingly simple like pasta is completely insane. So good! And I'm incredibly picky with Italian restaurants...
- RisaSeptember 21, 2012Grub Street off-menu dish: Brunch Sub. "Brunch diners at Michael White's Soho spot can get a sandwich of guanciale, a fried egg, and taleggio on a house-made bun. On the side: Pecorino potatoes."
- Time Out New YorkOctober 5, 2011Try the sausage polenta. Creamy polenta is stocked with white pepper & Parmesan, spread w/ pork-sausage ragù & capped w/ bread crumbs & melted stracchino. It’s one of our #100best dishes & drinks 2011 Read more
