Everything both looked and tasted exceptional. Surprisingly light tasting for a French restaurant. Server was excellent and the chef was very accommodating to a dietary concern. Great for date night.

If you like squid & octopus, try the Squid Ink Tagliatelle, Braised Spanish Octopus, Chilies, Preserved Lemon, Manchego Cheese. This dish is delicious! Wonderfully pronounced squid/octopus taste.

Veal and rabbit tagliatelle pasta dish was to die for! The free side, we picked string beans, was a perfect supplement to our meal. The Italian red wine by the glass was perfect with my dish.

A French Provencal bistro overlooking the Boston Public Garden, this restaurant found the ideal way to bring together the passion for ingredient-driven cuisine with a refined, classic technique.

Excellent service and excellent savory dishes. This is a place in the fine dining mold. I have, however, never been that impressed by the output of the pastry kitchen.

Order the lavender beignets but ask to replace the chocolate sauce with rhubarb berry sauce. The combination is amazing!

Food and service were high quality. The steamed mussels appetizer was wonderful. Wines by the glass get a generous pour.

There’s no better place in town to indulge in wine and charcuterie, those most Gallic of pleasures, than here. The Boston Globe has named Bistro du Midi the city’s “Best French Restaurant."
