Make sure you you check out the pool during rhe summer and of course the beer garden on the 2nd floor.... great staff and service is impeccable...love this hotel ... just my style - not for everybody

Nate SMay 6, 20162016 update: formerly the Thompson Hotel (see: all tips before 2015). The location is great, hotel is trendy but hit its peak around 2008, walls are thin. Overall, nice place, but don't pay full price

Vimal KumarSeptember 9, 2015The new rooftop bar "tiki Tabu" is quite original. It's clean and small and has a decent view. Be warned, tip is included on the tab.
Nice hotel with great proximity to LES but can be pricy and the rooms can be small.
The Loft at the Thompson Hotel is a penthouse duplex with an amazing view of Brooklyn all the way up towards Midtown from the balcony that runs along one side of the room.

Bob AurelioAugust 6, 2013This place is prejudice! The concierge people are all white & barley any dark skin staff there. I asked to speak to the HK manager and she pretended not to see me & attended a white couple instead.
- Great hotel but don't stay in a room on the 7th floor if they are hosting a party on the deck (unless you are invited).

$10 for 24hrs of Internet is a rip off. Cooper Sq hotel is completely free and you get a glass of wine when you check in.
Avoid the rooms facing Allen, especially on weekends - unless you enjoy being part of the party downstairs.
Elevators in this place suck donkey. Add 30 min on your day if you're above floor 12.
